French Courses for Immigrants – (CLIC) Cours de langue pour les immigrants au Canada
CLIC is Free French classes for Permanent residents and refugees. Government-funded, classes are free to students and focus on basic conversation, writing and reading. The aim is to convey essential knowledge for a newcomer: health care, housing, employment, banking, legal and political system, as well as other aspects of Canadian society. CLIC also allows students to acquire basic language skills that will facilitate job search and integration. CLIC classes regularly connect with the community through field trips and local speakers.
